Why We Are Focused On Your Care
To truly understand the heart behind our commitment, our Founder and CEO, Yan Katsnelson, M.D., shares what drives his passion for medicine and the vision behind USA Clinics Group, a large network of specialized services, including USA Vein Clinics, dedicated to treating a wide range of conditions with a collaborative approach.
Dr. Yan Katsnelson’s journey, from a highly skilled cardiac surgeon to a healthcare leader reflects the goal of offering patients the most advanced minimally invasive procedures that dramatically improve patients’ outcomes, quality of life and longevity.
After nearly two decades in cardiac surgery, Dr. Yan witnessed the profound impact of effectively treating people without major surgeries, prioritizing minimal risk and achieving better results for the patient. This led him to focus on expanding access to innovative vein treatments offered at USA Vein Clinics that effectively treat a range of painful symptoms and an increased risk for several serious health conditions, including blood clots and venous ulcers.
The Rise of Minimally Invasive Treatments
Yan Katsnelson, M.D., credits the evolution of moving from helping individual patients to building an organization that can help hundreds of thousands through cost-effective, minimally invasive procedures for common conditions. As new technologies emerged, Dr. Katsnelson was impressed by how much these less invasive procedures could improve patients’ daily lives, addressing issues like swelling, pain, circulation, bleeding and sleep disturbances.
“I had patients that I had done their heart surgery, come in for vein treatment, and I couldn’t believe how much improvement in their lives thes vein procedures made compared to heart surgery.” Katsnelson said. “When the patient goes home fifteen minutes later after a procedure, it is a pure miracle.”
Looking towards the future, Dr. Katsnelson is optimistic about the role of minimally invasive procedures and technology in healthcare. He envisions a shift towards curing conditions rather than just treating chronic symptoms, emphasizing the potential for significant cost reduction and improved patient outcomes. He also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and prevention in improving longevity and quality of life. We are committed to offering the best care that is accessible and affordable across the country.
How We Show We Care: Expanding Access to Treating Other Conditions
Fueled by this realization USA Clinics Group expanded into other areas, addressing arterial problems and, notably, fibroid disease. Dr. Katsnelson admits his initial lack of awareness about the impact of fibroids, a condition affecting millions of women and often treated with outdated or overly invasive methods such as a hysterectomy.
Recognizing the availability of effective, minimally invasive treatments like uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), USA Clinics Group began raising awareness and USA Fibroid Centers was launched. Since then a strong network of other services emerged treating a wide range of conditions including knee arthritis, hemorrhoids, enlarged prostate, peripheral artery treatment, as well as preventative CT scans.
Why We Care: Our Doctor’s Perspectives
Dedicated to making a positive impact on patients’ lives, our vein specialists have diverse backgrounds and specialties, but all approach their role with a deep sense of purpose, understanding that patient care is not just about treating conditions, but about fostering trust, healing, and a better quality of life.
Our doctors share why they do what they do:
“If you think about life and what impact you can make, I can’t think of anything better than medicine, in any form and shape.” —Dr. Yan Katsnelson, Founder, USA Vein Clinics.
“I got into the medical field to help as many people as possible using advanced medical/surgical techniques. My daily goal is to provide university level care to the community.” —Dr. Aaron Shiloh, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist, PA.
“Providing care that not only addresses the medical needs of patients but also supports their emotional and psychological well-being is the cornerstone of effective healthcare. I strive to build trust and understanding with each individual under my care.” —Dr. Stephanie Spano, Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist, NY.
“Medicine is a calling that aligns with my belief that healthcare professionals have the privilege and responsibility to change lives for the better, one patient at a time.” —Dr. Stuart Feldman, Board-Certified D.O, FACEP, IL.

Standardizing Excellence in Patient Care
Dr. Katsnelson also touched upon the challenges in medicine, particularly achieving consistency in care. His disciplined background in heart surgery and the Navy helped him develop a sophisticated software platform designed to unify processes, aid doctors in decision-making by providing comprehensive, objective data, and ultimately ensure consistent, high-quality outcomes for patients. He proudly noted the significantly higher success rates in their fibroid treatments as a result of this approach.
A core value for Dr. Katsnelson and USA Clinics Group is providing high-quality care to underserved communities. “I want to make a difference for those who suffer the most, even when access to care exists but isn’t used.” This commitment is shared by many of the organization’s doctors, who are driven by the opportunity to make a significant positive impact.
Another important component in access to care is keeping the cost as reasonable as possible. Our focus is on low-cost, highly effective treatments and remain transparent about the cost of treatment from beginning to end. We don’t want you to avoid treatment because of the worries of cost. Our treatments are typically covered by most insurance plans including Medicare and Medicaid.
