Lev M. Khitin, M.D. - Dr. Lev Khitin was born in Russia where he went through the medical school and a military service. He did research in surgery at UCSF-Stanford System and completed full training in general surgery at Lahey Clinic. His training in cardiothoracic surgery took place at Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Khitin is an author of multiple medical publications and inventions. In 2007 he joined expanding practice of Dr. Katsnelson at Chicago Heart Institute and Vein Clinic. Dr. Khitin is experienced in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery including endovascular procedures. He performs operations at Alexian Brothers and St. Alexius Medical Centers.
