Sclerotherapy involves process of “drying out” of small spider veins.

During the procedure, a miniscule amount of special substance, called sclerosant, is injected into a vein. Sclerotherapy is painless and quick procedure with excellent results when performed for specific indications by a specialist. It is, however, not a definitive treatment and the condition may recur or develop at a different site of the leg, even several months after sclerotherapy.

Sclerotherapy is mostly done for cosmetic purposes and therefore may not be covered by insurances.
